Review on FEL PRO VS 50369 Valve Gasket by Phil Anderson

Recently bought a '92 Escort with 1.9 liter engine. that after 100,000 original kilometers the factory valve cover gasket was no longer tight and oil was leaking onto the exhaust manifold. This set of gaskets and bushings sealed the old engine. I'm splicing the star because while it works, it looked like it was turned upside down. That is, the valve cover has a recess that the factory gasket fits in, but the new gasket has a rib down into the head and two ribs up into the head, neither of which fits into the recess in the valve cover. . The new gasket has locating lugs at intervals around the perimeter of the gasket to hold the cover in place, but that doesn't work for me. Call it a hunch, a trick knee or whatever, but I'm giving it a star because it made me nervous.
