Very comfortable and solidly made handle. Rotates just over 45 degrees out of the box. But you can see where there is too much material on the handle to clear the base of the plastic spatula. But the slot can be filed or sanded to give it a bevel on each side that frees the blade at its ball end to rotate a full 90 degrees. The spline does NOT need to be made wider, just beveled like a butt weld. The grip really holds tight at any angle you adjust it to, even 90 degrees if you change yours. To do this, lightly tighten the locking screw with your finger. The spatula holds the Home Depot cardboard signs very well. Had the groove been beveled at the factory to allow for a 90 degree angle, I would have given it five stars.
