Nice sliding barn door rail - 5 foot

I wanted to add a small opening to a really awkward closet. Used the 5 foot rail, mounted it to pine trim as the pre drilled holes didn’t line up with studs. I made the door, dimensions are 24” width, 37.5” tall, 1.5” thick. It was fairly easy to install and is very sturdy. Track slides very smoothly as well. I did get a different type of ‘floor guide’ as I wanted to use one that would mount to a wall (the guide included mounts to the floor).

Pros

Built and hung a door with this kit! When I need to hang another door I will likely buy this again!

Cons

May be prone to bending or warping if not handled carefully
