Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

I took ASUS because I have been buying components from them for a long time, it's nice when, if possible, everything is from the same line, the same Strix. I am familiar with the quality and reliability, and therefore did not particularly consider other options. As for the price, I donโ€™t know how it will be in the future, but now it turned out to be very profitable to buy, taking into account all sorts of promotions, including Ceramazons V2 gift headphones from the same ASUS (by the way, surprisingly very good for their price, I did not expect). Taking into account the promotions, the option to save money and take the B450 did not look very interesting, especially considering that the B550 is much better than the B450, this is not just another ate for the sake of increasing one digit in the chipset name. Unexpectedly pleased with the sound quality of the built-in sound card. The difference with the sound from the old mat. I felt the board from seven years ago right away, although it is far from being as big as from the transition to a good external ZK. PCIe 4.0 is more marketing at the moment, a noticeable difference in performance will be either on SSDs (which are not yet on sale from top brands), or on video cards with a small amount of memory. But for the future, this is a good argument against the desire to save money on the B450. In general, the purchase is very satisfied. Even if you take it at full price, without gift headphones, itโ€™s a good base for ating a car with a good start, even after the release of DDR5 it will be possible not to ate for a long time.

Pros
  • 1. Potential for CPU and RAM overclocking, especially given the advanced overclocking capabilities of future Ryzen 4000s. 2. Reliability. 3. Great functionality, there are almost all the features that you might need. 4. Appearance, belonging to the ASUS Strix line (for an amateur, it matters to me).
Cons
  • The factory BIOS was version 0305, on it the board easily overclocked the G. Skill F4-3600C16D-16GTZ memory to 3800 MHz (Infinity Fabric, by the way, 1900 MHz, no longer takes under any circumstances) with timings 15-15-15-30-*-1T and sub-timings from DRAM Calculator for Ryzen. I remembered about the BIOS version, ated it to 1002 and the system stopped showing signs of life with the same settings, if you do not increase TLC or CR by 1. A trifle, but unpleasant. Though maybe I missed something somewhere.
