Although these shoes are designed for the golf course, I needed another pair of swim shoes for swimming in the pool so I could wear the shoes in the pool without fear of getting them wet. These shoes stand up to wet conditions without penetrating the insole. The fit is relaxed to the point where I really think they're close to 10w and they're a lot more comfortable as a result. The laces are also waterproof and don't get wet. The outsole has lugs for traction and slip resistance that help on wet surfaces. The sockliner is comfortable to a point where I don't think orthotics are needed, but you've got plenty of room if you want to go that route. I love this pair so much and can't wait to use them on the lawn in the spring but this pair will be used lovingly in a heated winter pool.
