Review on πŸ“Ί Portable Raspberry Monitor with High Resolution 1280Γ—800 and HDMI Connectivity by Robert Walker

Good Raspberry Pi monitor

I bought it to use as a display for Moode Audio on the Raspberry Pi. There seems to be an incompatibility that broke the touch functionality. It's a software thing. I've tried Volumio and the regular Pi OS and they happily exist on screen. The copy of the product says that the config.txt file is not needed, but I didn't find that to be correct. Requires additional standard strings recommended by other displays. Now the good part. An unusual case at this price. They still have cables sticking out, but it doesn't look like anything out of a mad scientist's lab. The switch location is convenient and the included stand works. The display quality is good, the resolution is 1024 x 600. Overall I'm very happy with it. I would buy another one if I needed one. A limitation. The included power adapter hummed. I tried the standard ground loop elimination tactic, but the only solution was a different power supply. The first one I tried, from my box of wall warts, eliminated the hum. If you're not using it for audio, the hum doesn't matter much. If you don't have a box of wall warts left over from other devices, you're going to be in more trouble than me.
