The image is definitely less sharp and detailed in person, if you want a mouse pad for high-resolution printing you should probably look elsewhere. It still looks and works as intended. If you're looking for something nicer than your regular mouse pad, this is it. Just don't get your hopes up on the picture. It looks pretty to be honest, but it's not that shiny in person. I bought this mouse pad for an upcoming gaming PC I'm about to build and it was one of the things I went for. I do not regret the purchase.
