I replaced the worn out Schwalbe Fat Frank tires on my Pedego electric bike with these tires. The Fat Franks have driven 3,300 miles and in all of those miles I've only had two flat tires. It definitely made me a fan of Schwalbe tires. As a spare tire, I decided I needed something that was a little better on dirt surfaces but still performed great on tarmac. I drive 17 miles to and from work every day. Only about 3 or 4 miles of the ride is on dirt surfaces, but the Fat Franks slipped a lot when not on paved surfaces. These Marathon Plus Tour tires handle the dirt and ride great on tarmac. Marathon Plus is better in another unexpected way. Thanks to the puncture protection foam layer inside the tire, the tire absorbs bumps in the road very well. I like it when my tires are almost full and that makes Fat Franks very stiff. I felt every little bump. The Marathon Plus Tour is not only practically shockproof, but also very comfortable to ride. I've only done 600 miles on these Marathon Plus Tour tires but so far I like them. There are no apartments either. I wholeheartedly recommend these tires if you are looking for a durable, non-slip tire for any surface.
