Let's start with context: I have lower extremity lymphedema. I use a foot massager - it takes an hour for each foot. I am a writer and storytelling coach and I travel frequently for work. I sit for hours too. This leads to increased swelling in my legs, ankles and feet even though I wear a compression stocking on a daily basis. There are times when I can't get in a car - more often than I care to admit. I wanted to find a way to massage myself to get my lymphatic system flowing when I don't have time for a device or when I'm traveling on shorter flights and don't want to lug around my medical device (although you can technically take it). an airplane and it is not extra baggage). In any case, I used wood gouache and got impressive results. I've used coconut oil to keep myself fully hydrated - usually right after a shower. With light pressure, to the heart, I threw light punches - 10 in front, side, back and legs, same for feet, ankles, paying special attention to knees. belly too. I've been stroking up my arms and hands. Then I took a smaller wooden tool with a wet face and massaged my face, neck and shoulders. My ritual remedy is about 20 minutes for the whole body. After that, I became physically light. My skin was slightly pink (I'm a brown woman) and fluid. I couldn't believe how AMAZING I felt afterwards! I will be taking this with me on my upcoming trip - my first flight in 2 years since the pandemic. I hope this makes a difference given the pressure in flight (I wear a compression bandage during flight). I'm very glad I found this tool and I hope it lasts a long time. You can't beat the price on one try.
