I like a snug fit.So at 5'10" 165#, I ordered these in a size medium.That is my usual trend, though depending on the manufacturer and what other reviewers have said as far as fit, I adjust it up or down.I think I hit the target perfectly for how I like these to feel, by ordering the size medium.These are a great shade of blue, but they are about three or four shades lighter in person than what my computer screen depicted. I really would have liked to see them in the more saturated color that I perceived on the product page.So here are the stats:Laid Flat the waistband measures 14" across, so double that and you have a 28" waistband; slack, not stretched.The waistband is about 1 1/4" wide.The pouch measures 2 1/2" laid flat on its side (front to back) at the widest part so you are talkin' about 5" wide across.From the bottom of the waistband to the bottom of the pouch, the pouch measures 6 1/2" at the very longest part of the pouch.As the product page says, these are 95% modal and 5% spandex.Model is a little more firm than some of the other fabrics that these types of underwear are made of (like nylon or polyamide), so in a size medium there is a feeling of support for me and not a lot of movement, but neither are they constrictive or too tight.This has those little symbols on them as far as laundering instructions,I hate those.The product page says hand wash only. I will not be doing that.What I will do, is what I always do with better quality underwear or jockstraps and that is use one of those laundry lingerie bags so that it doesn't get tangled or mangled by other big things like jeans or whatever else might in that same laundry load. Do that at your own risk, but it always works well for me.I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision.I rarely give an overall five-star rating.
