Exactly what I needed. Last year I bought a generic 2 pack of Smile Face Monster. The springs broke quickly and it became very difficult to close the lock. These master locks are much softer. I checked out a few hardware stores but the price here on Amazon is much lower. I use them for my bike ammo saddlebags and also attach my helmet to the rack. Now any skilled thief will be able to crack them, but I'm much more comfortable running to the store to keep everything locked. It is very convenient to have 4 locks with the same key. They give you 2 keys and that's totally fine with me. I gave 4 stars because they are not that weatherproof. If you leave them out in the rain they will rust because the shackle has no protective coating and water can get into the lock parts. This is not a problem for me as they are not outside all the time.
