Update 12/01/2020: This stuff is still sticking to the old fiberglass on the boat! Since I didn't have much left, I also leveled the mower's engine bay (being careful to avoid direct contact with the engine, of course). This is a very nice reduction in engine noise. What else can you glue this thing to? 🤔I was skeptical about the performance of this product but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Used on board boats to reduce engine noise on the 5.0 liter Mercruiser. I wiped the compartment with a dry rag, dried the soundproof wall, cut open with a sharp utility knife, peeled off the backing paper and glued the soundproof wall in place. Instant relief! It's about 1 inch thick. Just make sure you don't touch any hot parts directly and you should be fine. I have about 2 times more than I need. it's even quieter. A good product.
