Tap changer was fine. I bought it for our children's room so that we can conveniently switch the reading light on and off. I didn't read the disclaimer in the box (and only now read it in reviews) that it only had 90 days to use. Although it worked longer in my daughter's room, it stopped working after about a year. I have no idea why the power strip can't be made a little more reliable and electrically safe. Now I'm a bit scared it might have started a fire. Other issues I had with it was that it would light up, but when it was on. This is the opposite of what it should be as you often try to find it when it's dark. Another problem is that the short end is where the plug is and the long end is behind the bulb. It does not make sense. Not worth it in my opinion.
