Both units worked at first but both had initial problems. The battery of the first device died and I had to replace it with a new battery. Now it works. The second device worked right out of the box after following the instructions to set up the device. Both units had previously been opened and the battery isolation covers removed, leaving both units draining the battery. LiftMaster garage opener. The downside is that both devices were previously opened with a device with a dead battery. Recommendations - I would buy these units again but ask the supplier to send unopened units and make sure the batteries are new.
