For some reason on my Dell laptop the screws started to come loose from the hinge causing problems with the hinge and some cracks in the plastic. It took me a while to figure out that the problem wasn't the hinge or the plastic, it was just loose screws and re-tightening would only fix the problem for a couple of weeks. I haven't had any problems since putting this on the two problem screws. Several months have passed. By spending a few bucks on this I saved my entire gaming laptop. I've had no need to use this for anything else, but if your laptop manufacturer spared a threadlocker and applied it to the screws, don't listen to the rattling and ignore the problem until it gets really serious. problem like mine. There was a small blue dot on the screws where they used something, but it clearly wasn't enough. Purple might be more ideal for use with a laptop, but with those two screws trying to open/close my laptop all day, I went overboard. I have NOT attempted to remove the screws since tightening them, take that as a disclaimer. Screw lock should only be used for metal-to-metal connections, not for metal screws in plastic.
