Review on Bridgestone Blizzak Spike-02 185/65 R15 88T winter by Wiktor Krel ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

I was afraid I would ruin the rubber by taking it out in the early frosts and then again the next day when it was +8, but it held up (though I did lose a couple of spikes on the highway). Cold asphalt is stable at both + and - temperatures, while wet asphalt is secure even when icy. Coming soon: the first uphill snowfall over snow-dusted, freezing asphalt. Highway lane changes at 160 km/h through heavy snow and oatmeal are routine. The noise level is about par for the course; after the initial thousand, it quieted down significantly. For the previous three years, I'd been driving an 8th generation Hakka, which was noisy, seemed to stick more closely to the pavement, but if it broke, was incredibly jagged and difficult to handle.

Pros
  • Controllability; high degree of predictability even under stress
Cons
  • No
