I live in southern Illinois and it gets hot here. In summer 90-100 degrees heat with a humidity of 80-90 percent. I bought this wireless car charger for my Doordash and Grubhub business that I have. I wanted a wireless charger to make my life easier. I didn't want to disconnect and reconnect multiple times a day. I have to take my phone to a restaurant and go to the customer's door to take a picture of their food. When my phone is on this charger, my phone gets hot and I get a warning on my iPhone 12 mini that my phone is getting too hot because it's in direct sunlight. I have this wireless charger right on my dashboard. I thought maybe it was user error when I placed this charger, but it's a wireless charger, where else would I put this thing that doesn't block my view? I keep this charger in my car because the sticky suction cup really sticks! However, fighting the sticky sucker every day and overtime is not ideal, I'm sure it loses its stickiness if I take it off and put it on every day. Driving an hour on the Autobahn yesterday, I noticed that every little bump makes this charger go deeper. I've put this charger on a few times and it keeps going lower rather than staying on the high which I like. I suppose it's because that I left this charger in the car and it was damaged by the heat. The dilemma is to deal with a charger that stays in my car and gets damaged from overheating, or to get a phone holder that doesn't charge my phone but instead puts my phone on the dash and I plug and unplug the charger got to. Even then I get a notification on my phone that it's overheating because it's in my car. I can not help myself. I drive a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze.
