This is normal, but it is difficult to get a consistent impact on impact.
They work pretty well, but I'm having a hard time making them look like a stamp used with a machine. I hammer by hand with a hammer and it's not easy to get a uniform look. However, they work if you're not picky about giving them the perfect look.
