Cheap bandages and tape that don't stick.

I was initially happy with my purchase. It seemed to come with everything I needed for hiking or mountain biking. I'll preface the negative experience detailed below to say that I've never had this much trouble with bandages sticking. Quality bandages stick with no problems. I first had to use the kit yesterday while mountain biking. I fell and scraped my knee, which started dripping blood. I opened the kit to treat the wound before it could bleed all over the place. I cleaned the wound with the moist towelette, sterilized it with an alcohol swab, ensured the area was dry, then placed one of the larger rectangular bandages on it.The bandage immediately started dangling from one side. I tried pressing both sides down for several seconds, but one side kept just falling off. I went back into the kit and dug out one of the butterfly bandages, figuring that the much larger sticky area would do the trick. This bandage would stick to my leg hair, but not the skin underneath, which made it float about a centimeter away from the wound. At that point, I dug back into the get and brought out the medical tape. I used two six inch strips to help hold the butterfly bandage into place. The tape did not stick to my skin either. Some of it dangled not sticking to anything, and the other parts stuck only to my leg hair, not the skin. I got out the tape again and taped all the way around my leg over top of the 6 inch tape strips. I figured if the tape won't stick to my skin, at least it will stick to itself. I made sure to secure the tape without making it too tight so that any upper calf flexing wouldn't strain it.It seemed to hold. Finally! A few minutes later, it was clear to me that no bandage or tape within the kit was going to stay in place for a relatively minor wound. The tape encircling my leg and overlapping itself by at least 6 inches had fallen away and was hanging onto my leg. I stopped biking and pushed the tape back into place for several seconds. It held for a few more minutes, but then I realized the entire assembly had slipped down off the wound and was doing nothing (see picture).I ended up using the one thing not in the kit to fix the issue, duct tape. I got a new bandage out and duct taped over it to hold it in place on the wound. It's unfortunate that the makers of this kit seemed to have chosen the absolutely cheapest bandages and tape available. They will do nothing for you when you actually have a need for them. The whole purpose of the kit is to provide would care. It does not do that and wasted nearly 20 minutes of my day trying to make ineffective pieces of the kit work in the way they are meant to do.I haven't used the remainder of the kit, but am not suspect about the quality I will find if I actually need it. If I'm still within the return period, I'll be sending the kit back as it is quite inadequate for what it is intended. If you must buy this kit, I highly recommend that you replace all of the bandages and medical tape with quality pieces that you've used before and can trust to work when you really need them.
