Review on Sekonic L 358 Flash Master Light by Amicz Kakaruk

This is just a well made meter, very easy to use. I read the instructions a long time ago and after that there were no more problems. That's pretty intuitive. I mainly use off-camera multi-flash flash with Nikon CLS for exposure control and wearable modifiers. I wear a counter when I need to switch to manual control. I love that I can remember how to use this meter no matter how long it's been since I last used it. This meter shines for use with studio flashes. On the few occasions that I've shot with a shared flash, I've noticed that mine and other Sekonic meter shooters have always been the same. I added an additional radio module. It's handy to be able to test the flash for meter readings without using the camera or an on-camera radio trigger. On the downside, this meter uses a more expensive CR123 battery ($5) that you can't buy at your local grocery store. This is mitigated by the fact that the battery life is very good. The meter also works well with 3V CR123 batteries (NOT 3.6V!). I have not attempted to use 3.6v rechargeable batteries and would like to warn anyone thinking of doing so to ensure over voltage does not harm the Sekonic. Update: After writing this review I switched to a Sekonic L-478DR meter, to remotely control Pocketwizard Flex devices. However, I still keep the L-358 as a spare/spare/leased.
