Strings come off very easily

One of my cats loves to chew on things so I got him this to chew on instead of my blankets and other stuff. He really liked chewing the string but chewed through and nearly swallowed one within five minutes of starting to chew. I removed both strings for that reason and he doesn’t have much interest in the red sphere anymore but occasionally will chew it. Be careful that they don’t bite off the spikes! He nearly chewed off a few but I removed them before he could swallow them. Although they are probably small enough that they would pass through easily, it’s still better to be safe than sorry. Be careful!
