I despise the fact that my car requires my seat belt to be on when I put groceries (or anything else) in the front seat. These devices are God-sent to stop the squeaks of hell (or the need to buckle your seat belt when there's something other than a human in the front seat!). Inexpensive, simple device that serves its purpose. And since mechanics usually steal them when I bring my car in for repairs, this is the perfect price.
