Works well, the remote control is not very good

Need a weatherproof outdoor candle for my lantern. That fits the bill. I set the timer and it works as described. The light isn't bright, but it's not a problem for me. I just needed a lit candle as part of my fall porch show. There is a small problem with the remote control. This works when you are standing next to a candle. But trying to get it to work from our foyer won't work - meaning it won't light the candle or turn it off. Therefore three stars.

Pros

Long life battery powered candle. Each pair of AA alkaline batteries will last approximately 1500 hours. No need to change batteries during the holiday season. This electric candle can be used alone or together with candle holders. For example, they can be LED pumpkin for Halloween decoration and you can use them to light up your real pumpkin and jack-o-lantern.
