This is definitely a good item for the bathroom. It really keeps my bathroom mirrors from fogging up. Let's look at the overall design of the item. The dehumidifier is a fairly large device. It's not heavy, but it can take up a lot of space. It has a very simple control system which is a power switch. You can't control anything. There's no remote control and you can't control when it starts and stops. You have to turn it on and off every time. It has a decent shell size so you can be sure it's holding enough moisture. It takes quite a long time to collect the full amount of moisture. The dehumidifier has a beautiful oval design with a plastic cover for drawings. The plastic is pretty strong. If you remove the container you can see a series of wires, but they are hidden. On the container itself you will find another lid that needs to be removed so you can easily reset and flush the unit. To be honest, I only use the water I collect to water my plants around the house. It's not much, but it's better than pouring it down the sink. I would recommend just drying it after you throw it away or throwing it out every week if possible to avoid mold growth. The dehumidifier has three different indicators which also indicate that the power is on when the bin is at 'Maximum'. This must not be exceeded so that no water can escape or leak. Not sure if it shuts itself off as I don't let it fill up to avoid problems with mold or algae growing in the water. I got about a quarter of the amount of water in about two weeks (depending on the container). From the general functionality there is only one setting and two not too loud fans. It absorbs all moisture at a pretty decent rate. I usually turn this on before I shower and it keeps most of my mirror from fogging up. It's not 100 percent, but definitely better than without. Back to the noise, it's not too loud or noticeable. It's definitely quieter than bathroom fans if you have one. The overall design is really good and I haven't seen any issues with leaks. It's powerful enough to condemn most of my bathroom, but I don't have the basement to actually try it. It pulls in a good amount of moisture so you can keep the bathroom dry. It has a handle at the top but not really, I'd love to take it on vacation.
