It would be perfect and that's what I was looking for. but the size just didn't fit. My hose counts as a 5" but it was dangling in the hole. I had the original "plug" or plug facing out and I was trying to fit it so it was too big. The plastic is nice and thick which is ideal would be if everything fits but it was too hard for me to cut I found the foam sheet I found with my original parts was EVERYTHING (I thought it was just insulation) so I gave it a try and it worked. It looked a lot better so sorry it didn't work. I haven't had any issues with parts sticking together. Be careful with the size of the tubing. It depends on the specific company. I've tried that Wrapping the end of the tubing in white packing material to keep it in place but it didn't work. As it was well built I would have found a way if I didn't already have the original (black!) styrofoam window seal that fits well.
