I've looked everywhere for instructions on where to jack up my caravan. Nobody wants to tell you where the Jack Points are. My trailer tractor weighs 7,000 pounds. I placed a 6 ton bottle jack behind the rear wheel and raised it until both tires (on one side) were about an inch off the ground. Then I placed the 6 ton jack as close to the bottle jack as possible and lowered the jack onto the stand. Then I repeated the same thing on the other side of the pendant. Now all 4 wheels are hanging. Inserting brass bushings in any position is easy, it is easy to mount the CRE with 3 screws. It took a full day to fit the spring to the trailer frame. I ended up loosening the 4 bolts holding the axle to the spring pack, giving myself enough clearance to rotate the spring 1/8" and that was all it took to reattach the spring bolts. I tightened the spring block screws. Before removing these bolts I made a mark on the axle to ensure the axle lined up with the spring pack when reassembling. I looked in the mirror to see when my trailer's wheels hit it and I was past it. Fabulous! When moored at our campsite, it creaked and groaned as we maneuvered. It's not now. If I had done it all over again I would have loosened the backpack screws sooner and I estimate I can finish a page in 1/2 hour MAX. Whilst I was at it I decided to repackage the wheel bearings which will take time and a million rags. bottle jack. Do you need it ? No, I have a 3.5 ton jack and it worked but was VERY difficult to pump up. I also have a 4 ton bottle jack and it was difficult to pump up. The 6 ton bottle jack was easy to inflate.
