*Update, he's 1.5 years old and still runs like a champ. This box with the key has served its purpose so far. I've had it for several weeks and it's been exposed to low temperatures and snow. I found the dials to work well even in low temperatures (just remember to close the little black flap. It fits nicely over a regular doorknob and keeps keys secure. No, I haven't physically tried to open it, so I can't attest to it's ability to withstand rough treatment. However, it works great for our needs.
