I have several Wixey products for my table saw, planer, router etc. I would say they are good quality and expensive, especially if you buy them as a set or reduced fishing price. The support is great as I had a few issues and almost immediately received an answer and solutions from (presumably) Mr Vixey. I had a previous model of this and it worked fine until recently. I found this important when using the bevel on my table saw. How do you know you brought the table back exactly perpendicular after making the bevel, most likely at a 45 degree angle. For a few dollars more than just a replacement for my original, I bought this model. Several things caught my attention. First, it uses larger batteries so I don't have to replace them as often. The second was the "magnets" in the base. I can now attach this device to my 4 foot level which has a magnetic strip on one side. So I can read the level without referencing "bubbles". What may be missing is the indication "Lot". I've used a short (and cheap) zirconia level for level and plumb for years. If you could duplicate this with a height of 4ft (or more) that would be great. There may be such levels, but they can be a lot more expensive than those Wixey devices if you already have a long level. For this reason, I propose a device like this, which can be attached to an existing plane at a height of 4 feet or more using a magnet, tape or whatever. Another thing I like about THIS device is that it's small. When I'm a plumber (hopefully rarely, I'm retired now) I can attach a fixture to a pipe to determine its slope. Other levels are short but just too long.
