I have been using Brita filters for many years. Initially this filter, which is shorter than the latest full-size jug filters, did not seem to fit: the filter only has 1 slot and did not fit, and did not even appear to fit, the jug's cross frame. down to the frame. I nearly wrote an angry email, then tried one last time to insert the longlast filter, SIMULTANEOUSLY TWIST AND TWIST, PUSH DOWN and the filter's single groove hooked and locked 1 piece of the pitcher's cross frame. Place. It's tight, although you can see that 3/4 of the bottom of the filter isn't touching the cross frame. The adjustment is slow but good and the sealing is good. I bought this filter because of numerous failed lead pollution tests in good old schools in San Diego. I will not go back to any filter that doesn't care about lead. 2 stars for the stupid design. Some R&D at Brita have to go back to school to learn the basics of ergonomics and customer satisfaction. They must have been on their phones, checking Facebook and Instagram in class, and taking selfies during the lecture.
