Review on 8440MAh A1398 A1494 A1618 Replacement Battery For MacBook Pro 15 Inch Retina (Late 2013, Mid 2014, Early 2015) by Samuel Lewis

I have a Mid 2014 (A1398) 15" Macbook Pro that was shutting down at 98% battery charge, so obviously I needed a new battery. I was considering taking it to an Apple store, but $250 seemed excessive and I thought I would give replacing it myself a go. This kit gave me everything except alcohol to replace it and and the instructions were very good, so with a little patience and direction following I was able to pretty easily replace the battery myself.As you can see from my screenshot my old battery was pretty dead, but to my surprise this new battery had a higher design capacity and also charged more than 10% over design capacity. From reviews of other batteries, I noticed people saying their new batteries didn't last all that long, so I was worried about getting a 2-3 year old battery. This was not the case here. My battery was manufactured less than 2 months before arriving. My Macbook Pro is now operating beautifully! I don't need to keep it plugged in all the time to use my favorite computer. I couldn't be happier with this battery replacement! A++++
