Review on 2018-2020 Jeep Wrangler JL LED Fender Light Kit With Sequential Flashing Turn Signal + Side Marker Lights (DOT) - FIERYRED JL by Frank Ridl

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hopefully this gives you some clarity whether it will work for your gladiator

I wanted to write a review that not only rated the product but also answered some questions I faced as well as compatibility. For the recored I have a Gladiator Sport S NON- Max Tow with the color matched fenders. These will not fit any gladiator that has a one piece plastic fender usually found on the sport and sport s. I held them up as a comparison to a buddies with plastic one piece fenders and they were a lot smaller. (also seen in pics on another review) From what I understand, the rubicon fenders, the overland painted and the sport s painted are all the same as far as the light goesAs far as the product goes the look is amazing, the smoked lense really sets it apart from the stock look, the drl is very bright. The sequential turn signal is very smooth and really looks great. So far so good as far as the product goes. Seem very similarly built to the stock lights, seals look pretty solid and thick.Installation is not as bad as it is made out to be. I took off the the wheel to get a better angel/more room to remove the inner fender. There are I think 7 plugs and 3 bolts holding on the inner fender liner, once that is off its pretty much smooth sailing. I did have adequate tools to do the job I.e an impact driver with proper bits as well as a fastener remover (highly recommended) I essentially pieced together a few different youtube videos to figure out installation as the instructions provided are useless, but if you can get the inner liner off you should be able to figure out the rest. Removing the inner fender is needed as you have to replace the harness for the lights which goes back about a foot and a half into the fender liner. I personally did not use the "anti flicker - load resistors" as they are not needed with a tazer or any other device that can flash the DRL's to LED. I have used these before however and do notice they have them setup nicely with plug and play clip so you only have to mount them and plug them if needed. Installation took about an hour and half on each side with tire removal and fender liner removal. The second side went way faster the the first. You do need to pop out the first plastic rivet in the trim piece on the fender to remove the old light correctly so you will need to get plastic rivets and replace it or be ok with the first hole being open. There is also a piece of double sided tape holding the stock light in so make sure you have some to replace it as you will want the same flush seal. I am by no means a mechanic, I have had a few jeeps that i've worked on so I am also not a novice, I thought this was a relatively easy install but can definitely see you running into issues without the proper tools. The side markers that came in this kit had holes that were smaller than the stock side markers so the stock bolts ended up breaking the side markers. I had a pair I had initially bought that I swapped out but if you want to use the complete set, you may want to head too HD or Lowes to get smaller bolts that will fit them. It could've just been my set as I have not seen any other reviews state this but both sides broke the same so check if you can before you remove everything. One other note is I ordered the Brand "Fieryred" and got another company "Bunker" same exact look and everything so I assume its the same company.Overall happy with the purchase as I was very skeptical buying on amazon due to shotty reviews. Saved 120 by not going with the Quake Leds that also had poor probably unfair reviews.
