Review on 25Ft Cat6 Ethernet Cable - High Speed Network LAN Patch Cord For Router, Modem & Computer by Joe Merculief

Revainrating 5 out of 5

What's better than cat5?

As a teacher, we have to supply a lot of things ourselves. In the infinite wisdom of those who know a whole hell of a lot more about computers than I do, they decided that our internet had to go through the VOIP first, before going into the computer. When using the tech provided by the district, the drop I intended to use was dead and the chord was about 3 feet short of the next available drop. My options were to move my desk 3 feet closer to the drop which would have put it in a very ackward place, Leave my phone on the floor behind my desk, wait for IT to get around to it or get a cord. I searched for a cat 5 cable high and low that was long enough. This cat 6 cable appeared and I thought 6 cats are always better than 5 so I bought it. I had it in a couple of days. I plugged it in and it worked beautifully. I could move my desk to any spot in the room and it work the cord is so long.

Pros
  • Love the fact that it’s so flat and durable and lenghty
Cons
  • May not be reliable for long-term use
