Compatible with power strips and surge protectors

This product works perfectly. It may seem that this is a basic product that should "just work". However, I've recently learned that it's difficult to find an extension cord that has surge protectors, USB ports for charging, and most importantly, NOT known for lighting up. I am absolutely willing to pay MORE for a safe electrical product. This GE power strip works as advertised and there is no evidence of poor quality. One star off because my Samsung tablet complains that these USB ports only provide enough power for slow charging. :(

Pros

Convenient - Four grounded outlets and two USB ports conveniently charge phones, tablets, laptops and other devices, while a 3-foot extension cord with spade plug increases reach without long, tangled cords
