I use it almost exclusively for macro photography. Naturally, without additional light, it is difficult to get ringing sharpness! Before Sony, I sat on a Canon with a 100 mm f2,8 EF lens with a Canon bilateral flash, then for some time I used a 100mm macro Elk from Canon! After switching to the Sony system, I was puzzled by the macro kit for shooting, on the recommendation I took this lens, I use it with Sony's bilateral original flash on the first generation A7! The result exceeds all expectations in terms of sharpness and color, the detail is amazing! Of course, I didnβt achieve this from the first shots, but over time I got used to the lens! Definitely a great choice for subject and macro photography! It takes patience and adaptation, but the result is worth the effort!
