These sheets were made for winter and the holidays until I opened the package and realized how soft they are! They're medium weight (not thin) so they're toasty warm, wash and dry well with minimal pilling. The lint trap was full for the first two washes, which seems to be the case with most flannel items. They are large enough and suitable for thick mattress sets and mattress pads. I chose both snowman and church winter scenes (dark blue/red and red/green) and was not disappointed, the pattern and colors are beautiful! The pattern is printed, so only on one side of the top sheet. The pattern on the top sheet is upside down when the bed is made, which I didn't mind much but could always be turned upside down if you don't mind a smaller edge. I chased them until the price dropped, then had to wait for them to get back in stock, but I'm glad I did (the price has doubled, and while they may be worth it, they are also found elsewhere online, slightly less).
