Review on Portable LED Mobile Task Lamp - OttLite Black, Lightweight, Battery-Operated, Carrying Handle by Mary Scott

I bought this lamp as a more portable alternative to the OttLite lamp I use on my desk ( OttLite 383G53 HD SlimLine task lamp, 13W, black finish ) when working in locations or doing crafts where an outlet is inconvenient or unavailable. Maybe the brand name swung me too high but the quality wasn't what I expected. Every battery operated lamp has a certain trade-off between power consumption and light output, but this lamp doesn't fit both. Even with a new set of alkaline batteries I need clip-on book lights to make up for the lack of power and I was lucky enough to get 2 hours of power before having to change them again. On cheaper batteries or rechargeable? Fugedduhbutit. And I know it only takes 3 AAA batteries, but I get better results using a cheap USB light from a small phone backup battery.
