Here's the final verdict: Go for the version with the AC light. These LEDs are cool. But that's a joke. This LED version is so dim it's not even funny. I pride myself on writing generally positive reviews. But save money and buy the regular air-conditioned version instead. Even my wife finds this design pretentious and unattractive.

Do not buy! My high regard for the Otlits has changed forever. I always thought the cast was head and shoulders above the rest. But not this thing. This is junk that can hardly be made to work even for a short time. flicker, bad. I threw away $40, but at least I learned my lesson: stay away from this brand! I will never buy Ottlite again. (Also, in case they are germ-phobic. I buy lighting, not hygiene!)
