2011 Cadillac SRX Performance. In this car, the cup holders are east-west just behind the shifter, and they have a choice of regular or deep depth. Because this device has 3 points of contact with the inside of the cup holder, it cannot be used when the cup holders are set at the normal depth, as the cup holders are only semi-circular at that depth. It can only be used when the cup holders are in the lowest position as the cup holders have a 3/4 circle and the contact points can "catch". In addition, due to the position of the gear selector switch, the device must be placed in the cup holder on the passenger side. A device placed in the cup holder on the driver's side prevents the driver from shifting gears. Once the unit is positioned this way, it is too far from the driver for easy access without turning your head and keeping your eyes fully on the road. Overall 3 stars. Ways it could get 5 stars: 1) have a large contact area; 2) Slightly higher; and 3) slightly stronger. Overall I am not disappointed with this purchase. I will not return it and buy another one. If I need to buy another device, it will have a better design for my car.
