Works well - I use two of these in a 200 gallon salt water tank (in line, non-submersible) with 6 foot head and get at least 6 water revolutions per hour . They are a bit too powerful for my aquarium and the direction of the jet needs to be carefully chosen not to blow the sand to the bottom of the tank or create too fast a current for the corals or anemones and/or their flow restrictors/reducers somewhat subdued (up to approx. 80%). I have had Quiet One pumps over the years and they are really quieter than most and their average lifespan for me is around 7 years.
