Expectations were not met, average quality.

It so happened to me that I couldn’t try it on a Canon camera. There were two copies: the first shot on the Sony NEX 3N, and the second on the Sony a5000
On Sony cameras, it gives a very interesting picture and color reproduction - it turns out tastier and more fun than on Canon.
I don't want to deal with this glass anymore
After working with new Sigmas, insight comes as far as 4L is morally and technically. outdated

Pros

1) Legendary model. From here follows the first fat plus: the design and ergonomics brought to perfection 2) The perfect balance of price and quality in the secondary market, one of the most liquid and in demand in the world 3) Very low level of chromaticity at F4 and complete absence from 5.6 - 6.3 4) Normal not oversharpened sharpness, but at the same time draws delicately and unobtrusively 5) High-quality, realistic - neutral color reproduction

Cons

1) A large percentage of marriage! I came across one of these with a terrible, terrible skew of the depth of field - this is not a cure in services. When focusing on the center, the soap of the left edge is even on the crop, and vice versa, the center is soap and the edge is sharp! There are rumors on the forums that every second or third Elka is defective - almost all specimens have various kinds of decentering and imperfections in optics. So an outstanding copy, and not just a good one, still needs to be looked for. 2) The famous, Ugly plunger hood ET-74. Well, I can’t imagine why they have chosen such a lens hood design since 1999 and have not changed it. An elegant petal hood would look lighter and more harmonious 3) The lens is not artistic. Nikons from 2.8-4 are many times brighter, sharper and more expressive both in terms of pattern and bokeh 4) Weak micro detailing with good sharpness are two different things.
