Review on 🚀 Enhanced Hitachi MAF0047 Mass Air Flow Sensor for Improved Performance by Darrell Sharp

After almost 100,000 miles I had the MAF code. I don't drive very far or fast so I cleaned it up and left it for a few months. Nothing looked broken, but cleaning only briefly turned off the check engine light. I trust the Japanese part of everything Chinese, especially the sensor. From the looks of it, this car could even be an OEM. Cheaper than the AC Delco counterpart, but not the cheapest either. Anyway, I installed it, dived a few miles, and the light hasn't come on since. Drives great. No more misfiring or stuttering when accelerating and my lambda sensors are no longer in danger. Definitely recommend. On this vehicle, remove the oil filler neck to remove the engine cover. The sensor is located on the right just above the air intake pipe. Disconnect the wiring harness. If you don't have a set of safety drivers, you may need to remove the screws with needle nose pliers. If desired, they can be replaced with conventional heads. The sensor is just rising. The position of the screws makes them difficult to screw in, but make sure you install the new block in the same orientation as the old block. Replace screws and wiring harness and you're done. Either clear the code by disconnecting the battery or OBD reader, or drive a few miles and the check engine light will go off.
