Excellent sand. I recently bought this for my 5.5 gallon Betta aquarium. The color is subtle cream and looks very natural in the aquarium. It looks phenomenal under white LED light. The grains are larger than sand but smaller than gravel. As with any substrate, be sure to rinse it off before use to avoid cloudy aquarium water. Each sandbag must come with a complimentary 5 gallon dosage of Carib Sea BioMagnet Clarifier to reduce water turbidity. This is the second Carib Sea product I have ordered. There are no regrets here!
