🏖️ Carib Sea ACS05823 Super Natural Torpedo Beach Sand Aquarium - High-Quality 5-Pound Substrate Review

I really like the color of this product. At first I thought it was a bit white but after being in the tank and letting nature take its course it has faded a bit to a very nice natural light colour. Some parts have turned a yellow-orange color, but it's very light and honestly adds a nice natural look. I've had it in a two gallon tank for a little over a month and it's been great. One bag is enough in a 2 liter aquarium.

Excellent sand. I recently bought this for my 5.5 gallon Betta aquarium. The color is subtle cream and looks very natural in the aquarium. It looks phenomenal under white LED light. The grains are larger than sand but smaller than gravel. As with any substrate, be sure to rinse it off before use to avoid cloudy aquarium water. I have three tanks and they all contain Super Naturals substrate. Two have Tahitian Moon and my small 5 gallon tank has Torpedo Beach. When I was new to this hobby I started with substrates from big department stores that sell colored substrates which leach and I don't think can be healthy for fish in the long run.
