These fine-grain cords add a chrome shine to the knife edge. I actually have a Ken Onion model that uses 3/4 inch straps, but it's the same strap that comes with it. Apparently they only make this belt in 1/2" sizes. Get extra accessories as they wear out pretty quickly. If you really want your knives to be razor sharp, you need to use them in your sling arsenal.
