I was originally using the blue and white plastic flower fountain by another company and it was such a nuisance. It got dirty quickly and the cats were so tired of it that they began breaking it apart. It was also so noisy that people I was on the phone with asked if I had a fountain in my house. This one is SO quiet, my fridge is louder. It’s easy to assemble and so easy to clean. I love that it’s dishwasher safe. My cats aren’t breaking it apart and are enjoying it so I’d say it’s a win. I’d buy this over those junky plastic ones any day.
