make sure the thin tube of the lamp that goes into the base has ahold

It’s a good product however the first lamp they sent did not have the hole to mount the upper piece, and the replacing item they sent seems used and the base came broken. Thank God I haven’t send back the first one and now I can have one out of two lamps. I’m keeping the upper part and sending back the base from the second lamp they sent. Still I believe we should not go through this twice. I was expecting the second lamp to come in a good condition and it’s broken. Overall is a good product. It was a gift for my mom and she loves it. Just make sure to check it works properly. Thanks
