Review on LiftMaster 373LM Garage Door Remote Control: Full Size, Sleek Black Design by Chris Hart

The item description says 'works on bottle openers made after 2005, works with purple smart button'. It's an illusion. The device will not work with GENIE garage door openers manufactured after 2005 that have a purple backlit button. I bought three of these and thought I could program them for my daughter's Liftmaster opener and my GENIE opener. These remote controls will not work with the GENIE opener. I called Liftmaster and they told me that these devices will not work with GENIE. The product description on AMAZON should be updated to remove the misleading statement. (And I found this first by doing a "universal remote" search - AMAZON does this all the time - you search for A, they come back with a list that contains B, and you think you have a list of those 'A's' They searched first but actually they aren't there so this process wastes everyone's time and money.
