Worked best as expected in door hardware and locks

The owner removed the handle and replaced it with a regular door handle leaving a smaller hole where the bottom of the handle attaches to the door. His response was to patch the hole (stupid and ugly) and I decided to patch it myself. I was happy to find this solution online. The panels were meant to be flush with the inside and outside of the door, but they had to be countersunk slightly into the hole to do so. The hole in our door was too small, but it was easy to fix. I just took a drill and made the hole a little bigger. It can now be 1/2 inch in diameter. The pad now sits flush inside and out and looks MUCH better. I'm thrilled how it turned out!
