Review on Enhanced Search-optimized Standard Motor Products PS240T Oil Pressure Switch with Light by Yousef Clark

Died after 6 months

The sensor on my 91 F250 diesel has never read since I bought it. I first bought a Ford replacement but it was much larger and the sensor still didn't work. It turns out that Ford once played with sensors. Eventually they added a resistor which essentially turned the sensor into a dummy light; Either there is pressure or there isn't. The larger case I originally put on was for sensor sets that did NOT have that resistor. However, this one works well and causes the sensor to read dead center. In short, if your sensor looks like this, then you need it. If it's a big body, then DO NOT take it. These are different sensors. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is the lack of a thread sealant already installed. Most sensors are included. I tried running it without it but it started leaking so I had to pull it out and add some. Otherwise no problem. ***** UPDATE 2/9/14 ****** This transmitter module died for me the other day. Bought a new one from the local parts store for a few bucks and all is well now.
