I bite the bullet and buy these filters because (1) Miele doesn't offer any guarantees on conventional filters and (2) filters are an integral part of the overall vacuum system. Miele filters are designed and tested to be the best and are guaranteed NOT to harm your engine. None of the usual bags give such a guarantee. However, they are overpriced, period.
